This small, single burner hot plate has only a 9-inch diameter, making it easy to squeeze into a small efficiency or RV kitchen as an additional cooking surface when needed. The electric burner has a spiral heating element that rests over a chrome ring and drip pan. A plastic base encases all the chrome components and eliminates heat transfer so countertops stay safe when the burner is in use. The temperature control knob on the front of this hot plate sets it to one of three temperatures. When cooking is complete and the plate has cooled down, the burner lifts up and the chrome pan wipes out with a soapy cloth.
